Burl Wood Bowl, Soft Maple Wood Burl Bowl With Blue Sand Inlay, Nut Dish, Candy Dish, Woodland Decorative, One of A Kind Gift, 3.25" Tall
This is a lovely soft maple burl wood bowl with blue sand inlay. This stands at 3 1/4 inches tall and is about 5 inches across at the mouth. This was turned from a piece of seasoned burl that had been drying in our neighbors fields for well over two years. Due to its age and even simply being burl, there are natural blemishes in the wood. The larger blemishes (cracks) have been filled with sand to give the repairs a fresh new look.
This is a great dish for nuts in the shell, candy in wrapper, keys, coins, paper clips, beads, etc. If you are looking for a one of a kind, simple woodland gift or even decoration for nearly any room in your own house, this could easily fit the bill.
This has been finished with a durable coating that will help preserve the wood. I do not personally suggest using this for foods other than nuts in the shell or candies in their wrapper, just for good measure. Please remember this is real wood and will need to be cared for as such. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and occasionally treat with linseed oil or equivalent.
