This is a lot of 7 pieces of natural whitetail deer antler that has been rough cut into chunks. These are great for raw material crafting, particularly small carvings. These all cross section pieces. These weigh in total 5.4 ounces. Two pieces came from an antler that looks like there is an old coating of shellac or similar item that is peeling. The rest do not appear to have any such coating. 90% of the antler that I have access to is second hand. That being said, I have come across antler that has been coated, left in the sun or even painted. The two pieces with a coating would be best used for a piece that is fully carved, leaving no layer of shellac to worry about.
