Wire Wrapped Pendant, Antiqued Copper Wire Pendant, Yellow Citrine & Green Rhinestones, Unique Two Inch Pendant, Conversation Piece Jewelry

This is a unique two inch pendant with two rhinestones suspended in decorative wire wrapping. The wire used for this piece is an antiqued copper wire that has a resilient special coating to help ensure that it stays the same color it currently is. This has its own bail formed out of the wire that is large enough to host most common necklaces, cords or clasps.

The rhinestones used for this are reclaimed from a jeweler's estate sale. I do not have a gem tester and will not claim that they are true gemstones. Nonetheless, I thought these colors complemented each other well along with the darkened copper wire. The green stone almost looks like a light olive green. The yellow stone looks like a yellow citrine.

This is the first piece in a design concept that I intent to make more of in varying colors and sizes. With this being the first, it was more of a test piece. I chose to use the yellow stone that has damage hidden underneath the wire wrap. Mind you it is tucked away well into the wrap and you can not see it from the front. You can see a slight bit of it if you turn it over towards the back. Without a doubt a traditional jeweler would have thrown out this stone but thanks to the versatility of wire wrapping, it gave this gem new life. While the damage is tucked away, it is only right that the chip be mentioned.
