This horse hair was collected from three different horses. All three have black manes but have subtle differences. We only trim twice a year, so we have a limited supply. This batch is from their bridle path (from the top part of the mane), which we trim in the spring. The hair collected from the mane is generally softer and thinner than tail hair. Nonetheless, it is still very durable and suitable for various uses. While it is normally softer, it is still much courser than human hair.
This has been brushed, braided and washed. It will arrive to you in the bundles it is in. You will receive the exact items shown in the photos. We will not be substituting, this way you know exactly how much you will receive and have a general idea of the estimated length.
We will be collecting more hair, including tail hair in the fall, so please check back or contact us if interested.
