These elegant earrings bring grace and woodland beauty together with natural antler, Swarovski Crystals and hand hammered copper.
The antler slices used for this are a light, ivory hue with a contrasting inner portion. To accent the light color of the antler, I chose clear AB Swarovski crystals. These wonderful crystals sparkle like no other and have that lovely AB rainbow sheen.
To bring these together, I used pure copper, swirling it around the crystals for added grace. Then I hand formed and hammered the jump rings and ear hooks.
I did not artificially patina the copper as I did not want to alter the antler. The copper will naturally and gradually patina over time.
These would make a wonderful gift for cowgirls, the lady hunter, woodland enthusiasts or anyone that loves jewelry that is out of the ordinary.
*Copper can be used by some but not all people that have sensitivity to metals. This depends greatly on the person and their level of sensitivity. Personally, I am rather sensitive to some metals but I can use copper without issues. As mentioned, it is different for everyone.
**While we do try to find antler sheds, it is not common that we do. It is far more common that we come across people that want to get rid of excess antler they no longer care for. Some may be sheds but not all of it is. Regardless, it is our goal to make every use our of this precious natural resource rather then allow it to waste away in a random landfill.
