These striking earrings are true eye catchers with deep organic antler slices and brilliant fire opal Swarovski crystals.
I crafted these with care and attention to detail in hopes that the recipient would cherish these earrings for years to come.
The antler slices are cut from the same antler piece with deep earthy hues and a unique contour. To balance the deep hues of the antler, I chose fire opal crystals that are more orange with subtle red undertones.
To complete the earrings, I used pure copper wire. Even the jump rings and ear hooks are hand formed and carefully hammered.
These are sure to make a wonderful gift for cowgirls, lady hunters, woodland enthusiasts, or anyone who adores unique handmade items.
I did not artificially patina the wire, as I did not want to alter the antler.
*Copper is sometimes suitable for those of us that have sensitivity to metals. Mind you, this does not apply to everyone and will depend on the person. Personally, I am very sensitive to some metals but can comfortably wear copper all day with no issues. As mentioned though, everyone is different.
**While we do try to find deer sheds, we often find other sources of antler. Normally the people that we source our antler from simple have too much and no longer want it. Some of it may be sheds but not all of it. Regardless, our main goal is to utilize this precious resource, preventing it from wasting away in a landfill.
